Hi, I’m Sadie, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), MA student in Counselling Psychology, and intern therapist at EMDR KW.
I’m trained in EMDR and hypnotherapy, and I work from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and compassion-focused lens. My approach is integrative and intuitive, drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work), somatic therapies, expressive arts, emotion-focused therapy, inner child work, and polyvagal theory. I aim to support clients in reconnecting with their inner wisdom, especially through the body and nervous system as we gently explore what’s been protective, painful, hidden, and stored.
I believe healing isn’t about fixing what’s broken but about understanding, honoring, and working with the brilliant ways we’ve adapted to survive. I see therapy as a collaborative space where your autonomy, identity, and lived experience are deeply respected. I believe healing happens when we can explore our experiences with curiosity, compassion, acceptance, and care, not shame or pressure.
I welcome anyone navigating trauma, addiction (their own or in their family), relational challenges, and emotional overwhelm. I am honored to have the opportunity to walk alongside you in this work, at your pace, in your way.
